SCSU Today Wick Addition completion celebratedSunday, February 1, 2009
A $14.5 million addition of laboratory classrooms to the Robert H. Wick Science Building, which was celebrated with an open house recently, is being used for classes this semester. The 35,000-square-foot Wick Addition is important to the popular nursing program, established in 2002, which has dramatically increased the number of St. Cloud State students taking entry-level biology and chemistry classes. The addition also supports research in areas such as cancer and kidney disease, immunology, genetics and water toxicology. The addition is part of a St. Cloud State science initiative that includes a $15 million renovation of Brown Hall and the proposed construction of a $44 million Integrated Science and Engineering Laboratory Facility |
