Students teaching in China, Africa

Saturday, March 1, 2008

Seniors Raunn Finley, of San Antonio, Texas, and Elizabeth Loch, Big Lake, Minn., special education majors, are student teaching this spring on the other side of the world. The two are at Shanghai Special Education Consulting School in Shanghai, working with students in grades K-6.

The program is one of several clinical experiences designed to prepare students to teach in a global world.

Other partnerships will allow for elementary and secondary education majors to teach in Beijing, China; child and family studies majors to teach in a bilingual early childhood program in Xi’an, China; and all education majors to student teach in South Africa.
