Three St. Cloud State University students — travel and tourism majors — are interning for the year on the Dutch Island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean, where they’re crew members on racing sail yachts — Dennis Conner’s America’s Cup-winning Stars & Stripes, Canada II and True North. “This job is a challenge,” says senior Kyle Farrington of Chaska, Minn., “but also a dream come true.” Also interning in the program is senior Jacob Miller, Wautoma, Wis.

The exciting internship opportunity was arranged by St. Cloud State Professor of Geography Bel Kambach, who also has students interning in such exotic locales as Dubai, United Arab Emirate; Batam, Indonesia; Villa Crespi, Italy; a dolphin refuge in Hawaii; and Guangzhou, China.
