Dr. Francis Harrold has been named dean of the St. Cloud State College of Social Sciences.
The educator was most recently dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, a position he’d held since 2000. Harrold earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago and his doctorate in anthropology from the University of Chicago.
The St. Cloud State College of Social Sciences has programs in community studies, criminal justice, economics, ethnic studies, geography, history, political science, psychology, social work, sociology and anthropology, women’s studies, African studies, East Asian studies, Latin American studies, social science, social studies and gerontology, and operates the Archaeological Computing Laboratory, Center for Economic Education, Spatial Analysis Research Center and the Social Science Research Institute.
