Discrimination focus of Winter Institute

Two internationally-known experts on race and gender discrimination will speak at the 46th annual St. Cloud State Economic Education Winter Institute on Friday, Feb. 22.
Featured speakers are David Neumark, an internationally-known labor economist and expert on racial, gender, age and disability discrimination in the labor market, and June O’Neill, an international authority on labor market discrimination. The latter has done extensive research on the gender wage gap and published extensively on labor markets and income differences, Social Security and welfare reform.
The annual Winter Institute sponsored by the St. Cloud State Center for Economic Education also includes two workshops for K-12 teachers, both of which will be dedicated to helping educators discuss racial and gender issues in the classroom.
