Wells Fargo President and CEO John Stumpf, an SCSU alumnus, is returning to campus for a lecture at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in Ritsche Auditorium, Stewart Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
“Wells Fargo: Storied Past, Bright Future” is the subject of Stumpf’s presentation. During his visit he also will meet with G.R. Herberger College of Business students in the college’s new quarters in Centennial Hall.
Stumpf, a native of Pierz, Minn., earned his finance degree in 1976 as a member of the first class to graduate from the business college after it was newly accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. He now heads the fifth-largest financial services company in the country, providing leadership for more than 160,000 employees at 6,000 locations across North America.
The 25-year veteran of Wells Fargo also is chairman of the Visa U.S.A. Board of Directors and serves on the boards for Visa International, The Clearing House and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
