Language festival focusing on female artists

The 2007 Voicings Language Festival, a regional, multi-discipline language festival, will host two events in April as part of “Frontlines: Women Documentary Artists.”

• The Academy Award-winning documentary, “Born into Brothels,” will be shown at the Paramount Theater, St. Cloud, at 7 p.m. Monday, April 16, followed by a discussion with co-director Zana Briski.
• Actors Davia Nelson and Nikki Silva will speak after a 7 p.m. showing of the Peabody Award-winning “Kitchen Sisters” on Wednesday, April 18, also at the Paramount Theater.

Both events are open to the public at no cost.
