Financial management excellence pays off for students

For the second year in a row, the leadership and teamwork that create award-winning financial practices at SCSU have been recognized by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system.

The Excellence in Financial Management Award was given for increased efficiency and effectiveness of finances throughout the University. Reasons for the recognition include:

• The University has a loan processing and collection system that helps ensure availability of funds for students.
• Students can pay their tuition, fees and other expenses online.
• Students can use a single card to access labs, pay for parking permits, purchase food, use vending and copy machines, vote in Student Government elections, verify class attendance, make local business-partner purchases and gain access to athletic events.
