Friday, May 10, 2013
St. Cloud State's Teacher of Reading Graduate Certificate Program begins a new session this summer.
The five-course certificate, which can be earned in one calendar year, helps K-12 classroom teachers improve their instructional skills and can lead to employment as a specialized reading teacher.
With the certificate in hand, a teacher may take the Minnesota Reading Teacher exam and apply for the state's reading teacher license.
Applicants should have a minimum of one year of teaching experience and must have a bachelor's degree in elementary education, secondary education, special education or English language learning.
