Interim vice president

Leonard Sippel will be the interim vice president for the newly named Office of Finance and Administration at St. Cloud State University starting June 25 until the completion of the search for a permanent vice president.
Sippel has more than 40 years of experience as an administrator for budget analysis, finance, administration and operations at colleges, universities, higher education systems and private business. For the past four years he has been treasurer and chief financial officer for the startup business Mount Vernon Seafoods LLC., in Mount Vernon, Wash. Prior to that, he was senior vice president for corporate operations and chief operating officer for the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation. He also has been vice president or associate vice president for finance and administration at Pace University, The College of Saint Rose and Old Dominion University.
Sippel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, business administration and economics from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and his Master of Business Administration degree with emphasis in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. He also is a certified public accountant in Hawaii and Virginia.
Sippel will replace Steve Ludwig, who has been at St. Cloud State for 25 years and served as vice president for administrative affairs for seven of those years (click here to listen to a podcast interview with Ludwig produced by college radio station KVSC 88.1 FM).
St. Cloud State University
