Healthcare open forum

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Central Minnesotans can air their views on Minnesota's healthcare system during a community conversation 6-8 p.m. June 19 at St. Cloud State.

Sponsored by the Citizens League and the Bush Foundation, the open forum is part of a statewide effort to gather input on how to fix healthcare.

Citizens League staff will moderate the conversation in the Voyageurs Room of Atwood Memorial Center. Parking is free on streets adjacent to campus and a dollar per hour in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.

View summaries from healthcare conversations in other Minnesota neighborhoods and communities.

Healthcare critics point to these and other problems  .  .  .

  • Rising healthcare costs
  • Social and economic disparities in heathcare access
  • Fraud and waste in government health insurance plans
  • Payment systems linked to treatment rather than health outcomes

The Citizens League is a Twin Cities-based non-partisan think tank. Founded in 1953, the Bush Foundation is a philanthropic organization focused on confronting public problems in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
