"As You Like It" presented by the St. Cloud State University Department of Theatre and Film Studies in collaboration with Dramatic Action.

The St. Cloud State University Department of Theatre and Film Studies, in cooperation with the student group, Dramatic Action, will present "As You Like It" May 17 through May 20 as part of GREAT Theatre’s Shakespeare Festival.

The production was rehearsed and produced in 11 days, giving students a chance to experience the long hours and intensive processes they will encounter in professional or summer stock theatre. It is also an experiment in sustainability: all stage items have been recycled from stock, borrowed and donated items, or were purchased from non-profit or locally-owned businesses.

Performances are Thursday, May 17 through Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. in the Arena Theatre at the Performing Arts Center on campus. Tickets cost $10 at the door. All proceeds benefit Dramatic Action. For advance reservations, call 320-308-4994.

This production of “As You Like It,” directed by associate professor Jeffrey Bleam, is Shakespeare's classic comedy of love and gender set during the Summer of Love with an all-Beatles soundtrack.
