Fundraiser for Concert Choir

A variety cabaret show and a silent auction will be held to benefit the St. Cloud State Concert Choir at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at Pioneer Place on Fifth in downtown St. Cloud. The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the cabaret show at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased in-person at Pioneer Place on Fifth.

The cabaret consists of group and solo musical numbers, as well as student-written comedy sketches. As a new addition to this year’s cabaret show, there will be a silent auction held with the winners being announced at the end of the show.

All proceeds from the auction and ticket sales go to the Concert Choir for its Spring 2012 Twin Cities tour and for future tours.

Please note: The show contains some mature language.

One of five choral/vocal ensembles in the music program, the choir is a highly select, auditioned group of approximately seventy singers including music majors as well as students from various other academic disciplines on campus.

The Concert Choir represents the University at important events, produces recordings, and makes annual tours regionally, nationally and internationally. The choir has performed at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, O’Shaughnessy Auditorium in St. Paul and at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
