The Lemonade Concert and Art Fair returns June 23 with art and craft vendors, food stands, a farmers' market, children's activities, live music and an evening concert by the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra (SCSO).
St. Cloud State's signature summer event, which annually draws about 10,000 people to campus, runs 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. in and around Atwood Memorial Center and Stewart Hall. Organizers expect more than 240 vendors.
In its 38th year, the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair is sponsored by Health Partners Clinics.
A free shuttle will run between the fair area and the parking lots.
Mayor Dave Kleis will honor recipients of the Rock-On Award during the 7 p.m. Granite City Days opening ceremony in Ritsche Auditorium. The award recognizes St. Cloud individuals, organizations and businesses who have demonstrated outstanding civic participation, leadership or achievements.
The symphony orchestra, under the direction of Daniel O'Bryant, will perform a mix of contemporary and traditional tunes 8 p.m. in Ritsche Auditorium. The program will include Jay Ungar's "Ashokan Farewell," John Phillips Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever" and "Stevie Wonder Medley" arranged by John Whitney.
