Experience a snowkiting weekend on beautiful Mille Lacs Lake.

Two introductory sessions, taught by the kiting evangelists at MN Adventure and Velocity Kiting, are available:

  • Jan. 29-31
  • Feb. 26-28

Cost is $95 per person and includes, camping meals and equipment, permits, kiting gear and instruction.

Participants will learn the basic principles of kiting, equipment, safety gear and safety techniques. Participants must provide their own alpine skis or snowboard.

Limit eight participants per session.

The weekend's activities are based at St. Cloud State's CELL Field Station on the southwest shore of Mille Lacs Lake.

Just an hour from the St. Cloud State campus, Mille Lacs is Minnesota's second-largest inland lake at 132,516 acres or 207 square-miles.

The sessions are sponsored by these St. Cloud State entities: Outdoor Endeavors and PACK: The Paddling, Adventure, Climbing & Kiting Club.

Outdoor Endeavors is St. Cloud State's renowned provider of outdoor education and experiential learning.
