Guest artist to speak

Michelle Grabner, internationally recognized artist and critic, will speak at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Kiehle Visual Arts Center Auditorium.
Michelle Grabner, internationally recognized artist and critic will speak at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Kiehle Visual Arts Center Auditorium room G14.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Grabner’s work has been featured in the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Shane Campbell Gallery in Chicago and Leo Koening Projekte in New York City.
Grabner is a corresponding editor for X-tra and ArtUS. She is the founder of The Suburban, an artist-run project space in Oak Park, Ill.
A 10 year anniversary catalogue “Can I Come Over to Your House: The First Ten Years of The Suburban” including essays by Grabner is being published later this year.
While on campus, Grabner will work with advanced art students leading workshops based on her book “The Studio Reader” at 9:30 a.m. – noon and 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Jan. 31.
