Concert explores dance history

St. Cloud, Minn.− St. Cloud State University’s Campus Band is partnering with the Husky Sports Band for a joint concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall located on the campus of St. Cloud State.

The concert, "So You Think You Can Dance?" will explore the history of dance through music. The pieces selected for the performance were chosen for their affiliation to dance and range from a 16th century dance suite to a 20th century disco.  

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and free with a St. Cloud State I.D.

St. Cloud State’s Department of Music is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music and awards more than $50,000 in scholarships to students annually. Its 26 faculty members teach and represent a variety of disciplines including music education, history, theory, composition, jazz, pedagogy, music technology, conducting, ethnomusicology and performance.
