Seminar for business startups

Corporate Education and Outreach (CEO) in the St. Cloud State University’s Center for Continuing Studies has partnered with LegalCOPRS and the Small Business Development Center for the Central Minnesota Region to offer a seminar on legal topics of interest for business startups. 

"We understand starting a business is hard, comes with a multitude of questions and is expensive," said Gail Ruhland CEO’s director of training. "Partnering with these agencies allows us to offer some assistance to startup businesses at a lower cost."  

The seminar "Legal Issues For Small Business Owners" will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Small Business Development Center at 616 Roosevelt Road, Suite 100 in St. Cloud. The seminar will provide information on the basics of contracts and leases and employment law and intellectual property law. 

The seminar will be taught by lawyers from three area law firms, Susan M. Kadlec of Rajkowski Hansmeier, Jacqueline M. Schuh from Gray Plant Mooty, and Tom Mathews from Hughes Mathews.
