Quincy Nang will cap an outstanding college career by giving the student address at Fall Commencement.
The undergraduate graduation ceremony is 2 p.m. Dec. 20 in the Halenbeck Hall gymnasium.View a live Windows Media Video stream.
The bio-chemistry major from Gabon, Africa, is campus activist for HIV/AIDs awareness. He is a Public Safety officer and an employee/advisor for Sodexo, the campus food services contractor.
His senior thesis discussed reverse transcriptase, a key enzyme in the lifecycle of Human Immunodeficiency Virus, the retrovirus that causes Acquired Immunodeficency Syndrome.
Nang finished second in the 2008-09 Student Employee of the Year competition sponsored by Career Services Center, Student Employment Services Office and the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
The Commencement Luncheon will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cascade Room of Atwood Memorial Center with limited seating every half-hour. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 320-308-4295 through Dec. 15.
