Help make a local child’s holiday season a little brighter. The St. Cloud State Honors Program, Volunteer Connection and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota have teamed up to organize the "Make a Child Smile Gift Drive."
Big Brothers Big Sisters have created a wish list of items that include new, unwrapped toys, games, dolls, books, sleds, backpacks, basketballs, floor hockey equipment and sets, playground balls, board games, kitchen play sets, cars/trucks, books and any other toys for children; newborns to 16 year olds.
The class heading the operation is encouraging
individuals and groups to drop off new unwrapped gifts in the lobby of any
Residence Hall, Atwood Center near room 139 and the Administrative
Services building. Monetary donations will be accepted at the honors office in
Centennial 216. The gift drive runs from Nov. 23-Dec. 11. Organizers are hoping to exceed the goal of collecting 350 gifts.
