Student-athletes from the wrestling team work the Fall 2007 Mississippi River Clean-Up.

Help protect and preserve St. Cloud State's greatest natural resource -- the Mississippi River.

Join Outdoor Endeavors' Mississippi River Clean-Up 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 3.

Trash collection focuses on the west bank between Christ Church Newman Center and the dam/boat landing area by Q Lot.

Volunteers will gather for 9 a.m. registration on the north side of the Student Recreation Center near the Outdoor Endeavors canoe/kayak storage area.

The safety briefing is 9:15 a.m. Trash collection runs until 2 p.m. with a free lunch at noon. Gloves are provided.

The fall and spring river clean-up events are managed by Outdoor Endeavors, St. Cloud State's source for outfitting, outdoor education and experiential learning.

The clean-ups are registered with the Minnesota DNR Adopt A River Program and National River Clean Up Week.
