People of all ages in Central Minnesota are being offered the gift of music with a preparatory program from the Music Department.

The Prep Program, which begins the week of Sept. 7, encourages participants to explore the excitement and fulfillment of musical development through instructional music lessons. Last year, the program had more than 100 students enrolled in individual lessons or the Cantabile Girl’s Choir program.

Although piano lessons make up the core of the program’s offerings, lessons in flute and percussion are also available.  All lesson instructors are highly qualified professionals and teaching interns.  Fees vary depending upon the qualifications of the instructor.

To register or for more information contact Music Preparatory Program Director Mary Jo Bot at 320-308-3836,  Information is also available at the prep program Web site.

St. Cloud State believes music is vital to the human experience. Its nationally accredited Department of Music emphasizes creativity and individual student learning, both of which are enabled by a knowledgeable and accessible faculty.
