ST. CLOUD, MINN. — Trivia lovers and river lovers will unite on Saturday, June 6, in Wilson Park for the 2nd Annual River Trivia Loving Mississippi Cleanup, organized by a local KVSC trivia team, The Voodoo Dolls.
All are welcome to participate in the cleanup and the party that will follow, but a special challenge has been issued to area trivia teams.
Meeting time for the river cleanup is 1:30 p.m. at the Wilson Park boat landing, so that boats can be in the water by 2 p.m. Volunteers are needed in boats and on foot to collect trash.
Canoes and motorboats are available, but all are welcome to bring their own. A few brave souls also are needed to separate the recyclables from the trash after it’s been collected. The cleanup portion of the event will take place from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., a small celebration will take place in the picnic shelter with live music from members of the Shake A Hamster Trivia Band, which features local musicians. Those who would like to participate in the party and not the cleanup are asked to pay a small admission fee of $5 to help cover the cost of the event.
KVSC 88.1FM, the Voice of St. Cloud since 1967, offers listeners an alternative format without commercials. KVSC features a diverse variety of music as well as news coverage and community events.
