A summertime aerial view of the Beaver Islands adjacent to the St. Cloud State campus.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Through June 22, St. Cloud State University is soliciting photographs for an online publication called “Springtime in the Beaver Islands.”
University Communications (UCOMM) will publish about 50 photos documenting humans, flora and fauna, in and around the Beaver Islands. The more than 30 islands form a natural maze for a two-mile stretch of the Mississippi River adjacent to campus.
The islands -- some of which are owned by the St. Cloud State University Foundation -- are among the most beautiful jewels in the campus crown.
The photos will be displayed in slide shows available from the front page of stcloudstate.edu, the St. Cloud State web site.
Likely subjects include:
Classroom activities on or about the river
Flowering plants, shrubs and trees
Procedures and expectations
