SHS director chosen health board president-elect

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Corie Beckermann, director of St. Cloud State University’s Student Health Services, has been chosen president-elect of the North Central College Health Association (NCCHA) Executive Board. She will serve a year as president-elect, a year as president and a year as past president.
The NCCHA promotes heath education, preventative therapeutic medical care and environmental health and safety within campus communities in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Membership in NCCHA gives physicians, nurses, heath educators and students the opportunity to network with colleagues, attend health programming, meet new colleagues and increase student involvement in college health organizations.
St. Cloud State Student Health Services provides general medical care, a pharmacy, immunizations and educational programs for students. The clinic’s staff includes two doctors, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, and lab technicians as well as support staff. Student Heath Services, which has been providing health care to students for more than 80 years, has met the rigorous national standards required for accreditation.
