Celebrate Bollywood contributions Saturday

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The India Heritage Club at St. Cloud State University invites everyone to attend “India Night 2008: Chitra Yatra, A Journey through Film.” The event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.  Everyone is welcome.

“Chitra Yatra” is an opportunity for students and members of the community to celebrate the many contributions of the Indian film industry. Bollywood, which produces twice the number of films as Hollywood each year, has had considerable impact through its portrayal of the people, music and culture of the country. Dance, music, ethnic wear and a dinner buffet will also be included in the event.

Ticket prices are $8 for St. Cloud State students, $12 for faculty and members of the community; children under five are free. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
