Men's Husky Hockey ends its season in the NCAA Elite 8 with a 4-0 March 30 loss to University of Minnesota.

It was an amazing season of team and individual accomplishments:

- National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) title

- No. 3 seed in the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship 

- Top 10 national rankings throughout the season

- 22-11-5 record, including 15-6-3 in NCHC play

- Debuted the expanded Herb Brooks National Hockey Center 

- NCHC Herb Brooks Coach of the Year Award for Coach Bob Motzko '89

- Recognition for Nic Dowd, including the Hobey Baker hat trick and All-American honors

- 20 players earned NCHC All-Academic honors

- National awards for student sports media, including Husky Productions and KVSC 88.1 FM

- Debuted "The Husky Hockey Song"

- National attention for KVSC analyst and announcer Gina Carlson (Avon)
