St. Cloud State will close Jan. 6
Friday, January 3, 2014
In the interest of the safety of those in our campus community, St. Cloud State University has announced it will be closed Monday, January 6, because of expected extreme cold temperatures.
Any university classes, including those at the Twin Cities Graduate Center, and all events Monday are cancelled.
Offices will be closed and employees should not report to work unless explicitly directed otherwise by their supervisors.
In order to be compensated, employees who are normally scheduled to work on January 6 must submit a special leave request (MSL – Miscellaneous Leave) for the amount of time that they would have worked had the university been open. Employees do not need to use accrued vacation or personal leave if the special leave request is completed.
View detailed instructions (PDF) regarding completing a special leave request. Please direct any questions to your supervisors.
Accommodations for housing and meals have been made for international students arriving this weekend and Monday.
