STEM at the Fair

St. Cloud State is one of 30 exhibitors at the Aug. 22 STEM Day at the Fair event during opening day at the Minnesota State Fair.
The science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) showcase, now in its fourth year, is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in Carousel Park, just south of the grandstand.
Visitors to the St. Cloud State exhibit can learn about wind-powered electricity generation and STEM initiatives at St. Cloud State. Exhibit giveaways include T-shirts and pinwheel kits.
Avon-based Blattner Energy will have a small-scale wind turbine at the St. Cloud State exhibit.
Leading the St. Cloud State contingent will be Carolyn Williams, associate dean for multicultural affairs and STEM initiatives, a founding member of the STEM Day at the Fair steering committee.
