CLA associate dean finalists

Three finalists for associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts/director of the School of the Arts will visit St. Cloud State in April.

Raymond Philippot, Susan Tarnowski and Timothy Farrell will interview and participate in open sessions in Miller Center Auditorium with students, employees and community members.

The person hired will provide leadership, planning and organization for the School of the Arts and work with the dean of the College of Liberal Arts to support operations and assist the development and coordination of initiatives.

The finalists are:

Raymond Philippot is interim associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts/School of the Arts at St. Cloud State.  Philippot holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Minnesota. His presentation/open forum is 11 a.m. April 12. View his curriculum vitae (PDF).

Susan Tarnowski is dean of academic affairs at the Art Institutes International Minnesota in Minneapolis. Tarnowski earned a dcotorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Minnesota. Her presentation/open forum is 10 a.m. April 15. View her curriculum vitae (PDF).

Timothy Farrell is professor of music and chair of the Department of Music at the University of South Dakota. Farrell holds a doctorate in trumpet performance from the University of Oregon. His presentation/open forum is 10 a.m. April 29. View his curriculum vitae (PDF).

The new associate dean/director will report to Mark Springer, dean of the College of Liberal Arts.
