Wesley Chapin is a professor of political science and chair of the Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin-River Falls. �rn Bodvarsson is a professor of economics and interim dean for the School of Public Affairs, St. Cloud State Orlando P�rez is a professor of political science and chair of the Department of Political Science, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Brian Ellison professor of political science and chair of the Department of Government and Justice Studies, Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C.  

Four finalists for Dean of the School of Public Affairs will visit St. Cloud State in April.

Brian Ellison, Orlando Pérez, Örn Bodvarsson and Wesley Chapin will interview and participate in open sessions with students, employees and community members.

The Dean of the School of Public Affairs provides leadership, planning, coordination and management for the school's four departments: Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography and Planning, and Political Science.

The finalists are:

Brian Ellison is a professor of political science and chair of the Department of Government and Justice Studies, Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C. Ellison holds a doctorate in political science from Colorado State University. His presentation and open forum is 3:30 p.m. April 22 in the theatre in Atwood Memorial Center (AMC). Orlando Pérez is a professor of political science and chair of the Department of Political Science, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Pérez earned his doctorate in political science from the University of Pittsburgh. His presentation and open forum is 3:30 p.m. April 4 in the theatre in AMC. Örn Bodvarsson is a professor of economics and interim dean for the School of Public Affairs, St. Cloud State. Bordvarsson holds a doctorate in economics from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, British Columbia. His presentation and open forum is 3:30 p.m. April 2 in the theatre in AMC. Wesley Chapin is a professor of political science and chair of the Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Chapin earned a doctorate in political science from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. The new dean will report to Devinder Malhotra, provost and vice president of academic affairs.
