St. Cloud State is a tobacco-free campus

Employees, students and others will gather 10 a.m. Aug. 1 on Atwood Mall for a campus-wide cigarette butt clean-up.

The effort marks the implementation of a policy that prohibits tobacco use at St. Cloud State.

Participants will be provided with surgical gloves and zip-lock bag for the butts. Groups of participants will be assigned an area to clean.

Those who have Tobacco Free T-shirts are encouraged to wear them.

The clean-up effort is expected to end about noon in Barden Park.
