Her Story Her Song Concert
Wednesday, April 18, 2012
The 11th annual "Her Story Her Song" concert is at 7:30 p.m. on April 24 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.
Performed by the Women’s Choir, Cantabile Girls’ Choir and Music Department faculty members, "Her Story Her Song" provides performers and audience members an opportunity to explore an aspect of life from the feminine perspective. Each year, participants seek a community connection that will expand awareness of the community’s support systems available to help women and children.

This year the concert is in collaboration with the Minnesota Reading Corps, an AmeriCorps program whose goal is to help every Minnesota child become a successful reader by the end of third grade. In keeping with this collaboration, music and readings for the concert have been chosen to focus on literature and around the new worlds of experience introduced through literature.
Past years’ collaborations have included the Central Minnesota Task Force on Battered Women, Child and Women’s Services of the St. Cloud Hospital and Hands Across the World.
Advance tickets are available at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Tickets will also be available at the door. Admission is free with an SCSU ID, $5 for seniors and students and $10 for general admission. A portion of ticket proceeds will go toward scholarships for music students at SCSU.
