San Francisco-based Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company, which melds traditional and modern dance forms, is performing 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in Ritsche Auditorium.

Admission is free for SCSU students, faculty and staff. Limit two free tickets per SCSU ID.

Tickets are $5 for the general public. Children 12 and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased at, at the Atwood Memorial Center information desk and at the door.

Troupe performances span the Chinese dance continuum, from spectacular court dances of dynasties to contemporary works fusing classical movement and ballet, complemented by dazzling costumes, original music, and multimedia designs.

Artistic director and choreographer, Lily Cai, is a native of Shanghai and a former principal dancer with the Shanghai Opera House Dance Troupe.

The performance is managed by the Performing Arts Committee of University Program Board (UPB). UPB is the university's student-run provider of education and entertainment programming.
