Community Garden Day

Monday, August 1, 2011

The St. Cloud State University Community Garden will participate in Community Garden Day and host tours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Can you dig it?

More than 50 gardens in Minnesota will take part in Community Garden Day on Saturday, Aug. 6. The St. Cloud State University Community Garden will participate in the statewide event and host tours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community Garden Day is an opportunity to recognize the thousands of hours volunteers give each year to make community green spaces possible. It’s also a way to learn directly from community gardeners about these spaces.

View an interactive Google map of the community gardens participating in the event here. The St. Cloud State Community Garden is located at Fifth Avenue S., near Sixth Street S., and the Women’s Center on campus.

The St. Cloud State Community Garden is maintained by university staff, students, faculty and St. Cloud community members creating a unified network to envision, plan, plant, tend and harvest food and flowers together.
