From new student orientation, to Move-In Weekend, to Homecoming, the first eight weeks of the 2009-10 academic year are jam-packed with activity.

Aug. 17-21

International students learn about St. Cloud State and the surrounding communities, courtesy of the Center for International Studies' new student orientation.

Aug. 22-23

New student orientation is the focus of Welcome Weekend activities and events.

Aug. 25

Troy Stende presents "Life Unlimited," a high energy presentation that delivers wisdom on how to earn better grades, improve relationships, overcome fear and more. A professional trainer/presenter, Stende has trained and inspired students around the world. Experience "Life Unlimited" 7 p.m. in Ritsche Auditorium.

Take a trip through House Party 101 -- a mock house party -- to learn about making smart, safe decisions around alcohol use and parties. Join the fun 9 p.m. in Atwood Ballroom.

Aug. 27

Husky Football versus Augustana College 7 p.m. at Husky Stadium.

The Johnny Holm in concert 9 p.m. on the mall outside Atwood Memorial Center

Late Nite -- your safe ride home after a late night out -- begins running. Metro Bus and St. Cloud State team up to provide busing to the south and east parts of town on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. View the Fall 2009 route schedule (PDF).

Aug. 30

Husky Soccer versus Southwest Minnesota State University 1 p.m. at Husky Stadium.

Sept. 2

Learn about student organizations, campus services and community connections at Mainstreet. Browse and learn 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the mall areas surrounding Atwood Memorial Center.

Sept. 8

Volunteer and Service-Learning Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Atwood Memorial Center.

Sept. 9

Student Employment Part-Time Job Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Atwood Memorial Center's Cascade Room.

Sept. 12

Into the Streets, the annual student service plunge sponsored by the Volunteer Connection.

Sept. 15

St. Cloud Community Job Fair, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center.

Sept. 23

Study Abroad Fair, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Atwood Memorial Center.

Sept. 26 - 27

Family Weekend welcomes families to campus with social, entertainment and athletic events.

Oct. 5-11

Homecoming Week, the annual celebration of all things red-and-black, includes a football game, volleyball matches, live music, contests and social gatherings.
