Icelandic civil engineer/author on campus for book signing

Yrsa Sigurdard�ttir, a leading Icelandic civil engineer directing one of the largest hydro construction projects in Europe and an award-winning author of two mystery novels and five children�s novels, will visit St. Cloud State University on Friday, Dec. 5.

In addition to speaking to several classes about her engineering work in the geothermal energy field, Ms. Sigurdard�ttir will sign copies of �Last Rituals,� the first in a promised series of mystery novels featuring Icelandic attorney Th�ra Gudmundsd�ttir, at the Husky Bookstore (Centennial Hall) from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Originally written in Icelandic, a translated version of �Last Rituals�was published by William Morrow/Harper Collins in 2007 and copies will be available at the book signing. Her second novel, �My Soul to Take,� will be published next year.
