Protect yourself. Protect others. Get your employee flu and Tdap vaccinations 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Oak Room of Atwood Memorial Center.

Employees can walk in and roll up their sleeves for seasonal influenza and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis/whooping cough) vaccinations.

No out-of-pocket cost if you present your health insurance card.

Without your employee insurance card, the flu shot is $25, the flu nasal spray is $32 and the Tdap shot is $55.

Whooping cough and flu

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reporting a rise in pertussis (whooping cough) cases in the United States. Minnesota has more than 3,700 cases reported in 2012. View the Minnesota's Pertussis Epidemic Response document (PDF). S

As of Oct. 1, CDC was reporting little flu activity. The flu season typically runs October through May.
