News Release Tobacco-free policy advocatesSunday, June 10, 2012 Register today to be a trained advocate for St. Cloud State's new tobacco-free policy. Tobacco Policy Supporter Training is noon-1:30 p.m. June 28 in the Primrose Room of Atwood Memorial Center. Lunch is provided. To register, email tupisc@stcloudstate.edu. After a year-long transition, St. Cloud State will be a tobacco-free campus Aug. 1. Exceptions for tobacco use will be allowed in accordance with the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act (PDF):
Training includes instruction on the role of educational advocacy and methods for communicating the policy to people on campus. Training is sponsored by the Tobacco Use Policy Implementation & Sustainability Committee, coordinated by Corie Beckermann, director of Student Health Services.
