Victim service providers and criminal justice professionals will gather Aug. 5-10 at St. Cloud State for the Minnesota Victim Assistance Academy: Foundations in Victim Services.
The 40-hour academy will build the capacity of providers to serve crime victims, encouraging cutting-edge methods of helping victims regain control of their lives. The 35 people selected to participate will focus on victim-centered multi-disciplinary collaboration building.
The academy is sponsored by St. Cloud State and the Office of Justice Programs, a division of the State of Minnesota's Department of Public Safety.
