View the Ethiopian Week poster (PDF). ESA is sponsoring construction of a $5,000 water well in a rural part of Ethiopia. ESA's goal is to raise that sum by Fall Semester 2012. Ethiopian Week events include:
Ethiopia is an East African nation of more than 80 million people. Its Rift Valley is the source of some of the world's oldest human remains. The coffee bean was first domesticated there. Its distance runners have dominated international competition for decades. Ethiopian Week is free and open to the public. Parking is free on streets adjacent to campus and a dollar per hour in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp. Multicultural Student Services is an Ethiopian Week co-sponsor.
