A presentation by renowned political activist Hedy Epstein will highlight Israeli Apartheid Week at St. Cloud State. Sponsored by Students for a Free Palestine, the April 4-11 series of events will discuss Israeli military rule over Palestinians. View the event poster (PDF). The 87-year-old Epstein has gained international attention for supporting the Palestinian cause. Among the organizations with whom she has worked is the International Solidarity Movement. A Jewish Holocaust survivor, she lives in St. Louis, Mo. Students for a Free Palestine is a student organization that describes itself as students, faculty and community members bringing the Palestine occupation to the forefront of discussion and action at St. Cloud State. For more than 100 years, Jews and Palestinians have fought over the strip of land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. Each side views that land as its homeland. Parking is free on the streets adjacent to campus and one dollar per hour in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.
