Celebrations of Community

The leading music ensembles on campus will join together in a benefit concert 3 p.m. Dec. 4 in Ritsche Auditorium.

The Celebrations of Community concert will feature performances by the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and Cantabile Girls' Choir.

Performances will include:

Wind Ensemble performing Frank Ticheli's "Angels in the Architecture"

Combined Choirs and Percussion Ensemble performing "Bethlehemu," a traditional Nigerian carol arranged by Barrington Brooks

Symphony Orchestra performing the final movements of Anton Dvorak's “Symphony No. 9,” also known as “From the New World”

A recption will follow in the lobby.

Proceeds will fund music scholarships. The Department of Music each year awards more than $50,000 in scholarships to music majors and non-majors. View a list of donors and music scholarships (PDF).
