Mónica García-Pérez, assistant professor of economics, will present "Health Perpetuation: The Effect of Parents’ Nativity on Child Health Outcomes" 9 a.m. Nov. 30 in the Voyageurs North room of Atwood Memorial Center. Her presentation is a Brown Bag Colloquium sponsored by the Faculty Research Group on Immigrant Workers in Minnesota. The group, which is part of St. Cloud State's Social Science Research Institute, is best known for its annual Global Goes Local conference. García-Pérez holds master's and doctorate degrees in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. She earned a master's degree in economics at University College London and a bachelor's degree in economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
