HR finalists named

Three finalists for the director of human resources position will be on campus this week for interviews.

The position is expected to be filled in July.

The finalists:

Craig Bickley is a human resources consultant and former chief human resources officer at Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio. Bickley holds a master's in business administration from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. View his resume (PDF).

E. Jeanne Durr is director of human resources and payroll at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She holds a law degree from Lewis and Clark College, Portland, Ore. She also did doctoral work in human resources studies at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo. View her resume (PDF). 

Nancy Grassel is director of human resources at Black Hills State University, Spearfish, S.D. She holds a master's degree in administrative studies/HR option from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, S.D. View her resume (PDF).

Each finalist is scheduled for a 15-20 minute public presentation, followed by a questions-and-answers period. Faculty, staff, students and community members are encouraged to attend the sessions in the Miller Center Auditorium.

The director of human resources provides strategic leadership in the areas of hiring, promotion and employee development to assure employees advance St. Cloud State University's core mission. The person reports to the vice president of administrative affairs.

The new director of human resources will replace DeeAnn Snaza, an interim appointee who will return to her position as assistant director of human resources at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
