Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the HipHop Declaration of Peace, a set of principles that proclaim a global culture of peace and prosperity. The free public "Power In Diversity Hip Hop College Conference" is 3-7 p.m. May 20 in Ruth Gant Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The Temple of Hip Hop was founded by KRS-One, also known as Teacha. The American rapper, lecturer, activist and author, born Lawrence Parker, has published a 800-plus page manifesto that Amazon describes as a philosophical, Bible-like life guide for the hip hop culture. Campus sponsors for the event include the International Relations/Global Issues Club, Student Breakdancing Club and the Department of Human Relations and Multicultural Education.
