News Release Chip music invades SCSUWednesday, April 20, 2011
Two bands will perform chip music, a retro form of electronic music, at Atwood After Dark April 29 in Atwood Ballroom. The evening will also include a video arcade room, a Pokémon tournament, pixel-mosaic art, a game show, laser lights and more. The fun starts at 9 p.m. The chip music of Null Street and Unicorn Dream Attack begins at 10 p.m. Chip music, also called chiptunes or 8-bit music, refers to music made using the digitized instrumental sounds of audio chips found in 1980s-era home computers and video game consoles.
