Associate Provost finalists

Meet the finalists for Associate Provost for Organizational Development and Faculty Relations, to be filled July 1.

Two candidates will be interviewed on campus and will participate in open sessions with students, faculty, staff and community members.

The finalists are:

• Virginia Arthur is the associate provost for faculty affairs at the University of Northern Iowa. She holds a law degree from American University, Washington, D.C. Arthur attended graduate school at St. Cloud State from 1990-92. View her curriculum vitae (PDF). Her open session is pending.
  

• John Palmer is the interim associate provost for organizational and faculty development at St. Cloud State. He holds a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Minnesota. A driver education and driving safety expert, Palmer is the recipient of the nation's highest safety award from the National Safety Council. View his curriculum vitae (PDF). Palmer's public open session is 1-2 p.m. April 18 in the Alumni Room of Atwood Memorial Center.
  

This associate provost position provides procedural oversight and leadership for faculty recruitment, faculty relations and evaluation, and the process that leads to class scheduling. In addition, the person assists in the day-to-day management of the Office of the Provost.
