Student Government elections
Thursday, April 7, 2011
Students will elect Student Government leaders during online and e-mail elections April 11-13 at St. Cloud State.
The ballot also will solicit student opinion on a proposal to make the campus tobacco-free.
On April 18, the university's Smoking Policy Review Task Force is expected to recommend to President Earl H. Potter III that the university become a tobacco-free campus on August 1, 2012.
Students will vote online through an all-student email or in person in the Atwood Memorial Center main lounge.
An outdoor presidential debate is set for 2 p.m. April 7 on the Atwood Mall.
Election results will be announced 5 p.m. April 14 during a Student Government meeting.
Student Government promotes student interests by funding student organizations, allocating fees collected by the university, addressing issues or concerns related to the student body and representing students state-wide through the Minnesota State University Student Association.
