'Visual Sound' percussion

Shield Your Eyes is guest performing as St. Cloud State Percussion Collective presents another installment of its “Visible Sound” performance series 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at Ritche Auditorium.

Engage the eye along with the eardrum as St. Cloud State Percussion Collective presents another installment of its “Visible Sound” performance series 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at Ritche Auditorium.

Dynamic selections from the Percussion Ensemble and World Drumming Group will combine sound with computer generated visualizations creating ‘visible sound.’

Special guests include Schuyler Tsuda and Mike Duffy of the Shield Your Eyes duo, digital media composers and performers. Their performances involve sound sculpture, DIY audio circuits, hacked/modified instruments, computer generated and assisted sounds, and experimental video.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Admission is free with a St. Cloud State ID. All proceeds benefit music scholarships at St. Cloud State. For more information about the music department visit the department website.
